The Phonics Gamer

Fishing Frenzy

Listen to the phoneme and select the matching grapheme. If you are correct, Megan the Bear will catch the fish jumping out of the river.

A fun interactive phonics game to help children learn grapheme-phoneme correspondence.

Covers the graphemes in Phase 2,3 & 5 in a Letters and Sounds phonics programme.

How many fish will you help Megan catch?

Great for classroom use on an interactive whiteboard in phonics lessons. Also, suitable for home learning on PC or tablet. Great for working with small groups to help children learn their graphemes in a fun way.

Fishing Frenzy comes with an optional narrated story that you can use when introducing the game to children, providing context and purpose to the game. Listen to the story or skip the story and go straight to the game.

You can even use the comic strip to challenge more able readers to tell the story themselves or to their class.

Use the menu to select which graphemes you wish to work on. Choose a specific grapheme or use all sets for revision.
